This resource has been developed for teachers who are teaching children at a year 3/4 age level.  The purpose of this resource is for children to investigate food and fibre production as well as incorporating food technologies that are used in both modern and traditional societies. This will be done through developing, and communicating ideas, processes and research, for their teacher and parents to view by using technology, technical terms and graphical representation ideas.  Students will recognise the benefits of being exposed to a wide variety of healthy foods for eating and will portray to their teacher and parents why this is essential.

 School Priorities

·         Teelba State School has a huge emphasis on technologies and the importance of advancing technologies for students.

·         As part of a community grant in 2015 the school now has access to 1 to 1 Ipads, as well as 8 permanent computers at the back of the classroom. There is also an interactive whiteboard in the classroom. Students are responsible for their own Ipads and it is the teacher aides job to ensure these are all away at the end of each day.

·         Ipads are used often and align with the schools Positive Behaviour Plan, this ensures all students understand the expectations of their 1 for 1 Ipads and how it could impact them educationally if they were to do anything to jeopardise this

-Students can access lessons on these Ipads and they are used for all leanring objects / online activities within lessons.
